En el I Concurs de Robòtica Sant Jordi de l'Escola Garbí varen participar alumnes de 1er, 2on i 4rt d'ESO. El concurs tractava de programar un robot senzill capaç de seguir una línia, sortejar un obstacle i parar al final del recorregut. Cal mencionar que els alumnes de 2on encara no havien programat mai amb estructures de bucle i bifurcacions i les varen aprendre el mateix dia del concurs! Només un equip dels alumnes de 4rt va utilitzar una làmpada per mostrar el reconeixement de l’obstacle i va utilitzar un rastrejador amb 2 sensors de llum, la qual cosa li va permetre aturar el robot automàticament al final del recorregut.

Students of the 1st, 2nd and 4th high school year participated in the I Sant Jordi Robotics Competition of Escola Garbí. The competition was about programming a simple robot to follow a line, avoid an obstacle and stop at the end of the circuit. It is worth mentioning that the 2nd year students still had never programmed with loop and switch structures, and they learned them the same day of the competition! Only one team of the 4th year students used a lamp to show the recognition of the obstacle and used a line follower with 2 light sensors, which allowed them to automatically stop the robot at the end of the circuit.
